What is Web Summit ALPHA?

Web Summit ALPHA is the program for early-stage startups at Web Summit, the world's largest technology conference. Selected startups gain:

  • Prime Exhibition Space: A dedicated booth to showcase our technology
  • Investor Access: Direct connections to leading VCs and angel investors
  • Media Exposure: Coverage from top-tier tech publications
  • Networking: Access to mentors, corporates, and potential customers

Why This Matters

Being selected for ALPHA validated our vision of creating an AI-powered orchestration layer for physical operations. Our 4-layer platform architecture - combining IoT sensors, unified data, intelligent AI, and autonomous orchestration - represents a new approach to facility management.

Our Journey So Far

In just 14 months, we've achieved:

  • Live Deployment: 11 smart washrooms at Sigma AVIT Bengaluru with 72 devices
  • Proven Results: 80% fewer complaints, 60% satisfaction boost
  • AP State Hackathon Finalist: Our AI-powered Grievance Redressal System
  • DPIIT Recognition: Official Startup India status

What We Showcased in Qatar

At Web Summit Qatar, we demonstrated:

  1. Octacle IoT Engine: Our patent-pending firmware that connects sensors to cloud in under 3 minutes
  2. AI Intelligence Layer: Predictive maintenance with 80% classification accuracy
  3. Autonomous Workflows: Zero-touch operations through Agentic AI
  4. Live Dashboard: Real-time facility monitoring from our Sigma AVIT deployment

The Conversations That Sharpened Our Vision

The ALPHA program gave us access to platinum-tier investors who asked tough questions. We came prepared, and these conversations validated much of what we'd been building. Here are some highlights:

"This is nothing new."

One investor opened with this challenge. We were ready for it.

Smart washrooms exist. IoT platforms exist. Facility management software exists. But here's what we explained: competitors either do the work (FM vendors like Compass, Sodexo) or track the work (software platforms). We do neither. We verify the work.

"So you're the unbiased referee for FM compliance?"

— Investor feedback

Exactly. FM vendors grade their own homework. We're the external auditor with sensors, not spreadsheets. That's a positioning no one else owns.

Market Sizing Done Right

When asked about market size, we didn't claim the $2T facility management services market. We explained our actual play: we're the 1-2% compliance and optimization layer that sits on top of that spend. That's a $20-40B opportunity in smart building software and IoT.

"Most founders inflate their TAM. You actually understand where you fit."

— Investor feedback

The AI Question

Investors asked about our AI claims. We were transparent: most of what we've built today is workflow automation and rules-based logic. The AI components (anomaly detection, predictive alerts) are real but still maturing.

"AI without operational data is just marketing."

— Investor feedback on building data infrastructure first

Our take: Honesty about what you are today builds more credibility than overpromising what you'll be tomorrow.

The Closed Loop Differentiator

We explained our core architecture: Sense > Decide > Act > Learn. While competitors stop at alerts (sensor fires, notification sent, done), we close the entire loop. Sensor detects, worker acts, system verifies completion, data captured for learning.

"Everyone else is selling dashboards. You're selling outcomes."

— Investor summary of our approach

The magic isn't AI. It's the closed loop.

Why Now?

GCC-focused investors asked about timing. We had this answer ready:

  • Sensor costs collapsed: From what it was 5 years ago, most sensor costs dipped by 70+%
  • Connectivity is ubiquitous: 4G gateways everywhere, no dependency on building WiFi
  • WhatsApp Business API matured: Reliable programmatic messaging is only 2-3 years old
  • Post-COVID expectations: Hygiene is now a brand risk, not just operational detail
  • GCC's operate phase: Qatar built $200B for the World Cup. Saudi is mid-way through Vision 2030. The build phase is ending, and the operate phase is beginning

The infrastructure for what we're building simply didn't exist five years ago. We're at the right place at the right time.

These conversations validated our approach and gave us confidence that we're solving a real problem the right way. Thanks to Web Summit Qatar for creating the platform that made these connections possible.

Looking Forward

Web Summit Qatar 2026 was just the beginning. The connections made and insights gained will fuel our mission to revolutionize facility management through AI and IoT.
